yes or no- im tired of OEM glass

so i was about to buy a new fog light becuase one was cracked but i was walking out to my car the other night and now theyre both cracked out. but then i had an idea, what if i took the glass out and replaced it with thick clear plexiglass. i have piaa extreme whites in there now with the fog light mod, and i guess my only concern is if it will get too hot. the plexiglass seems like it wont crack too easy, and if it did its cheap to replace. also there about twice as much light getting through the cracks in the glass right now, so they might get a little more light out.
any ideas? maybe advice on what kind of sealer to use. im gonna completely replace the glass so ill have to use something good.

If you remove the glass and replace it with LexanŽ, your light beam pattern will be non existent. The glass lens have refraction whereas the Lexan does not. You would probably blind oncoming drivers.

My driver's side has been cracked for awhile, but I've been too broke/lazy to fix it. I'm considering some of that clear bra type stuff for it, but not sure if that will work either...
