Is it worth it for performance gains or at least to help out my stereo amperage to Hyper ground and also swap wire leading from alternator to battery to a 4 gauge. Would it hurt my alternator by upping the gauge to the battery. Is it worth it to do this? Anyone have experience trying this?

 

Higher quality and gauge wires won't hurt anything but a smaller gauge with inferior electrical properties can start a fire.
