Tailpipe

This is not a big deal but i've noticed on my 03 max that only the right tailpipe discharges fumes...the left one doesn't give off any fumes at all. Is that normal or any reason for it?

variable flow muffler.
one of the chambers opens up for more flow at WOT, but when the car isnt moving it only uses one chamber and therefore one tailpipe

The '03 Max's muffler has a valve which opens and closes based on the amount of throttle. At WOT, the valve opens and allows better flow through both tailpipes. At normal driving, the valve is closed which is why you only saw the right tailpipe dispensing exhaust. I'm not exactly sure how much throttle is required to get the valve in the muffler to open up. But I do believe it WOT or close to WOT.
