Data Dots, how much of a deterent are they?
I've been a victim of HID theft twice already and now I'm selling a my 02 SE 6spd. Recently I got a letter from the Nissan and saying the will fit my car with DataDots and some sort of theft deterent system. My Question is: How much safer is it to park my car on the streets and What do these so called "deterents" (ie DataDots) do?

I had the data dots done a while ago.. and the truth is.. youre not really anymore protected than before. What the dots do is create less of an incentive for thieves to steal them and a greater chance to convict the ones that do. I have the dots on my lights and im still scared sh!!less to park my car in queens and manhattan.
