Transmission questions

OK I have a 2000 auto and I want to know since mine doesn't have a LSD and I know the 2001 AE auto has one. Are the 00 and 01 different?

Only differences is the one you described. Only the AE came with LSD on the auto. The trannies from 2k-2k1 are identical besides that. If you dont have LSD, and you are going to put in an LSD from an AE, its going to be complicated, I think you need to get the TCS control and all of that. As well as you are not going to have a plug for the TCS near the tranny so your are going to have an issue with the TCS or ABS or Seedo. One of them is going to be an issue.

OK so it would be easier to swap to a 5spd then.

Cant really say that cause it comes down to price and what you want in the end.

But my feelings are that it would be easier since I just did this and it really wasnt hard, I can now do this in one weekend as long as all the parts are ready to go. My problem was it took a month to get the freagin parts.
