Your damage looks just like mine when I hit a deer 2 months ago though my airbags didn't go off. How much was the estimate, 7500k? Good luck and keep an eye on the hood.

that sucks man!! Im surprise with the airbags... when i had my 2k1 max and i had a bad accident (~23k damage) my airbags didnt work... and a cop told "im very surprise with your airbags" i was like "yes officer... me too" i called nissan and told something about "sensor" i was like... almost 23k damage my front tire it was down on the highway... and you talking about "sensor" but guys i hate the airbags because im short guy and i drive real close to the steering wheel so im thinking to disconect it...

mom friend 97-99 max - totaled it - no airbags

i told myself i'd never but another max after the airbag situation, my bro would have been ok if his went off... but when the 02 came out i couldn't resist

with that aside, thats alot of damage, but at least ur ok bro, and im glad that ur bags went...

I got in an accident 2 days before you did, LOOKS exactly the same, except for the radiator was pushed in a little bit more... My airbags didnt go off, and i have 7k worth of damage. I miss my baby, get her back on friday. The only difference in our accident if that i hit a corolla, which had a dent in her bumber and u hit a deer...

The damage came out to a little over $9200.

I was going around 60mph or so when I hit the deer. Before I hit it I was traveling around 75mph, I went up a hill and around a curve and couldn't see it until I was right there.

I've actually use two different poilshes/wax. Mother's California Gold and then for polish I use Liquid Glass. Also after maybe every other wash I'll use Meguirs quick detail. But, I think it's just the way the light may have been hitting the car the day of the pics and the fact that it's just over a year old.

I dont know about the 2k2-3 but i was only going about 25 when i hit the 2k2 corolla, and her car only had a ****ing dent, i just didnt understand how it was possible for that to happen, but i guess thats what a car is supposed to do to ensure safety... lol

shot the pics 2 days after. Then means the deer had been lying there for 2 days? Is it true that if you have a road kill, as long as you call the state police, you can take whatever you kill home?

Yes I do believe those are SHAT stains on the hood. I think if you take a pair of plyers to the grill and buff the hood with some micro finishing compound, you won't be able to tell you hit anything!

Sad to see a Max like that. I have a question. From looking at the pictures the deer was moving from your right to left when you hit it? It looks like you hit it in the shoulder and it's head smacked your drivers side fender and most likely broke it's neck. Is this correct? It was probability dead before it hit the ground.

I feel your pain bro. I hit a deer over the summer with my other car. Luckily for me though I was driving a 91 Dodge Spirit and was able to replace everything with $50 in junkyard parts. (Hood, headlights, turn signal, brackets.) Unfortunely thats probably not even 1/10 of what it will cost for yours.

Sucks to see that man. Well look at it this way. It'll be easy to install those DDE lights now or clear the orange out of the headlight...

I hit a guard rail nearly head-on and my airbags didn't deploy. I'm surprised yours did.

BAMbi.

Looks like the deer was trying to steal your HIDs. It got what it deserved.

Haha....yeah maybe I would if they're was anything left of it. It's been about 3 weeks since the accident. So, I'm pretty sure that thing is pretty well eaten up by all the birds, maggots and whatever else got a hold of it.

Yeah, December 22 at 9:15 I was going straight, a girl was turning left. So she decided to make her turn directly in front of me. I think my max can be repaired. I spoke to a man at the collision place and he said it can probably be fixed for about 7 thousand dollars. He then said about 4 thousand of the 7 would be going to fix the airbags alone. So I found out, If your airbags go off, it is very costly... Also, you can't really tell from the pics, but the left front tire is bent inward, and the right front tire is bent outward. That is also a costly repair. Oh well, I was safe thats what matters. Anyway, check it out. Not looking too bad, but it was bad enough.

I just hit something on the e-way this saturday. Didnt do much visable damage, little "gouge" near the pass. fog light, wheel well and plastic under bumper is loose. Does anyone know if my premium will go, up I have AAA? If they want to raise it I probable just leave it broke since its not to noticable.
