Where to relocate the black box.

Hey guy, I really want to built that unique look and set-up of a real dual exhaust on my max, so basically I know that I have to cut the spare tire room, which is not a big deal, but were thing get complicate is where to relocate the black box?

Correct me if I wrong but this canister is some how connected to the fuel line, I believe it re-liquified the gas vapor and return them to the gas tank. I would think that because this box i's related to gas, we just cant relocate it in the trunk for example.

To do what I call the real dual exhaust, there is no choice, the box has to be relocate, it's sit were the second muffler should be. I'm shure something can be done, I'm asking if you guys wanna share crazy idea with me, I would be more than happy to ear about it.

Thank you and have a nice holidays.

Hey PearlWhtMaX2000, if that was just for the look I would buy the dual exhaust kit from custommaxima, but because I'm going to add a turbo I think it will pay off eventually to go that route and honestly I wouldn't mind to be the first to do it.

Cheers

That black canister is the environmental thing where it passes the gas fumes through that charcoal based container and then releases the air instead of releasing harmful fumes into the air.

Not if the car is N/A, but then you add a T3/T4B and it's a different story, not to say the look is going to be incredible.

Look underneath the Altima 3.5 and see how it is configured.

According to the Nissan FSM, this "black box" is called an EVAP cannister. It holds fuel vapors from the fuel tank and stores them until you start your engine and drive your car. There is a solenoid valve located near the throttle body that allows this vapor to be drawn into the intake manifold. It is part of the Evaporative Emission System.
