Installed y-pipe today on 2k2

Today me and my firend intalled a y-pipe today on 2k2 maxima. It was much harder than on my 96. I bout a waprspeed y-pipe with high flow cat. The first problem was the 02 sesor didn't fit cause my friend messed the thread( we rigged suttin up till tomoro). Then there was one bolt that was realy hard to get to under the bend of the second header pipe but me managed after a long time of trying diffrent things. After we were finished, the exhaust hangs realy low and rubs on the suport bar after the cat.

has any one had these problems??

I had the same problem with the y pipe hanging too low. What I did was put a 1/2 inch nut and longer bolts in between the subframe and the body. I think there is 6-8 bolts on subframe. This helped it from rubbing, but if you put a heavy load on car , like wot from a start it will bang the subframe anyway. I ended up taking the p.o.s off and selling it after I got dyno and learned I lost midrange h.p. I had the Warpspeed y & b pipe.

high flow cat = waste of money
and I will never buy a warpspeed product. I got the cattman like 2k2PhatMax did and left the black support bar on and I don't have any knocking or problems.

I noticed that all of you guys are 02 and 03. Are the gains/losses similar on 00 and 01's?

I had a warpspeed Y pipe on my 95 and it was flawless... Sounds like there is less of a following for them these days. Years ago there was the good cheap alternative
