I'm in the process of buying a 2000 AE muffler (one with dual exhaust and chrome oval tip) and wanted to know what the differences were between the 00-01 and 02-03 dual exhaust mufflers?? I believe the AE muffler is the 00-01 version. Thanks!

 

they are the same muffler- just different tips
same internal construction

 

AE mufflers dont have a chrome piece. they have down facing tips. however, someone could have cut the down facing tips and put a chrome tip on. most likely, its just an SE muffler from 00/01 with the regular chrome looking finisher that came on them. also AE were only in 2k1. but as said above, its the same muffler internally.

 

All the same inside but different in appearance.
