Clear sidemakers
Clear sidemakers
Hey guys, well i own a 2000 maxima, I like to clear my side markers or the corner light, whatever it's called. Just wondering if anyone know a site that has them cheap. I think lowest I found was $30 shipped, is this a good price?
Also can anyone tell me how to install these, there's no screw to unscrew.
If anyone is selling it also, let me know
Thanks

Lowest I've seen is $40 in the for sale forum. If you're not scammed, then it's a good deal.
First, pry out the front side markers by using a butter knife from the side nearer to the center of the car. Then pry out the rears with the same butter knife from the side nearer to the center of the car also. I tried prying out the front side markers with a butter knife from the front side of the car and I have a small scratch on my paint.

they are probably all the same! just buy some! it's not like they have brand names. CustomMaxima's may use the same vendor everyone else does. its $30...and not something people usually worry about specific brand names (since there isn't any).
just pick a dealer others had good luck with. which seems to be any and all dealers!
you can silicone the seams if you want - i didn't and have had no problems after about 6 months. some do, some don't - but, that is up to you.

That seller wants $13 for shipping. ROFL...

they might...they might not! i choose not to waste the time until i knew i had a problem (if i ever even developed the problem, for that matter). if they got fogged, then i'd silicone them.
there are how-to posts in the "Instructions/How-To...." sticky thread on how to remove the condensation if you get it. if you do, remove it, and THEN silicone. but, you may never even need to bother. it's up to you!
Removing the rear lens without scarring your paint or the lens can be tricky. I cracked a piece off the edge of my lens yesterday because I didn't get the flathead far enough back. - Just a warning.
