My SES light came on yesturday for no reason. Car was driving like usual. Today- the light went off, but i decided to pull the code and got 10-04. Anyone know what code this is for? Thanks

What did you use to pull the code.

 

You might try posting this in the 4th gen forum... I have a 2000 service manual and there is no 1004 or 0410 for 5th gen Max's...

I don't think there is a 1004 for 4th gen Max's either. You sure it wasn't 1005?

 

I used the steps in the FAQ of this forum to pull the codes off the ecu. This could possibley be an incorrect way of doing this- and maybe why i have an incorrect code. Right now the SES is NOT on- but when i try steps 1-4 from the FAW on how to reset the ECU, the SES flashes 10 short, then 4 short, and then flashes 05-05, before starting over at 10-04.

I'll check again later, and make sure im counting the flashes correctly.
