1. Buy Maglite 4D Flashlight.

2. Buy Maglie mounting bracket.

3. Put mounting bracket in desired position, drill holes with pilot bit.

4. Insert screws with mounting bracket in place.

5. Insert flashlight.

6. Enjoy.

What part of this "mod" were you having trouble with?

Here's what it looks like. Sorry for the bad pic (it's night time) and dirty car (it's winter).....just screw one bracket to the cross beam where the front of the seat mounts (2 screws). then put the Mag there.

Or, you could get a "mini-maglite" and put it in your glove box or door map pocket.

I actually didn't even need the bracket for mine. It wedges prefectly in there. Actually, the rear of the maglite would have nothing to rest on in the rear if I did use the bracket.

Yeah that works too....when it's in the bracket, the rear end of the light sits nicely...no rattles or anything. The bracket is tight enough holding it that the lite doesn't touch anything else, and it holds it up a little higher for easier access.

Yeah, my access is a bit restricted this way, especially with those damn power seat controls there. But it is as solid as can be wedged in there.

I would have gotten the brackets, but I didn't want to drill holes there in a fairly noticable spot along with the fact that no one in town sells the brackets.

You can't even see the holes...they blend into the carpet....after I drilled them, I had a tough time finding them again to put the screws in!!!!

It wouldn't move, I don't think. Also, I don't really need to vacuum under the seat because there is a giant flashlight blocking anything from falling underneath.
