Why is a car referred to as a "whip" (or is it?) Anyone know the origins of this. Just wondering, sorry to hijack the thread.
Oh, and I think black would look the best....low key, not ricey

i considered painting mine...but then my 'anti-rice meter' kicked in.
NOT SAYING THAT THOSE WITH PAINTED CALIPERS ARE RICE!!!. just hear me out for a sec.
do you really want to show off our dinky little brake caplipers? if you have upgrades brakes = then great idea! or, if you have a pimped out ride like alot of guys on here = then again a great idea. but, our stock brakes are kind of sad. and with my ride looking pretty stock - with no major cosmetic styling, i gave it a second thought.
i still may do silver...i think that would look classy. also thought about red like you. but red screams "look at me! i'm cheap little stock brakes! lol...look at me!" so, i decided to bounce the red idea!
again, if i had a pimp'in ride with a body kit, aftermarket wheels, or something then i would do it for sure. just think it looks rice with a odd color like blue or red on a stock ride. you don't have a link to your ride...so perhaps this doesn't apply to you anyways.
just a thought for you to consider and my .02! and again, FOR THOSE WITH PAINTED CALIPERS - don't start a flame war on me...just trying to play 'devils advocate' here at toss in another option!
i like them...i just think they should be on a Max that deserves them!

then black....it will be difficult for you to paint the calipers with the stock pearl color, and it'll be even more difficult for you keep those white calipers clean. dirty looking calipers are not so-great.

I have a white car also. After months of thought, I used 1500 degree
aluminum spray paint. It kinda looks like simi polished cast aluminum finish, brighter than I thought it would look before I did it.
It looked so good (to me) that I also painted the rotor hubs and the outer rim and fin area.
I never get tired of aluminum pieces weather on a bike, motorcycle, car etc.
