trade up to a 2k3???

is there any major difference between a 2k2 and 2k3 max?

i have a 2k se right now which i will be selling in a week, and have been looking at the 2k2 , 2k3 max

i found a white 2k3 max se, 24k miles, but it was a rental vehicle according to carfax, listed for 18,900 at a dealer

same dealer has a black 2k2 max se, 44k miles on it, for a 1000 less.
neither have leather, both have sunroof, spoiler, etc.
which would be a better deal?

the other option( im trying not to spend more than 18k for my next car) is possibly going for a new 04 altima..but thats really option 3.

what doyou guys think?

Why are you selling the 2k? Was there something you didn't like about it?

cuz if you don't like the 2k, then you probably won't like the 2k2-3....not that much of a difference except some extra HP, different tails, HIDs, and some minor features like heated steering whl....I have driven stock 2k3 and it feels almost exactly like mine, with a little more muscle.

ok....just wondering....if you got a good price, great! The trade-up is sometimes tough just because Maxes don't hold their value very well....good luck though.

I'd say spend the extra thousand on the 2k3. $18,000.00 sounds like a good price for a whole lot less miles, and you get it with an extra year into the 3.5 design so it may have some of the kinks worked out over the 2k2 model year. (such as MAF probs etc...)

This of course is just my opinion.

I would. Why do you think there is the saying, "beat it like a rental".??

You never know until you try. I suggest going and driving and inspecting the 2k3 before you disregard it.

19k for a used rental 2k3 is wayyyy too much for what I'd pay. Heck, you could probably get a new one for that price, since it's 2004! Happy New Year!
*Okay, must tell myself to get rid of the new year rave.*

If you're not rushing, which I recommend to do so, you could get one for about 18k. Look in the newspaper, advertisement, auto-trader, etc.... Also check your local dealer if they have used 2k2 in the lot. Good luck.

if the 03 checks out with my mechanic, would it just be up to personal preference whether i wanna go with the 02 vs the 03?

color wise ive never had a black or white max, neither has leather, mileage based on their years is comparable.

If you are considering a rental..watch this vid. I posted a week or so ago and it got move to OT..

Still worth the watch..

click on the video.

This is why you never buy a rental. Just my opinion..

Go with the 2k2, it is less prone to trouble.

the 2k2 out the door can be had for 16,500...
but now im also thinking about another car, an 01 acura cl.

cant really compare the 2, and the cl would be 1000 more, but i do like the specs and resale values of acuras.
