stock bulbs vs 100/90w or higher
#3
Dont have a pic of difference in brightness, but I used 100 watt highs on my old car and they were definatly brighter than stock bulbs. Never any problems with the wiring harness, but its a good idea to upgrade the harness if you plan to run higher wattage bulbs.
Actually, I think I have one 100 watt bulb out in my garage cause the other one burnt out... maybe I'll go toss it in a take a quick picture of the comparison between 65 watt and 100 watt. Hang on all

OK well my 100 watt bulb disappeared in the past months while I've been at college. Sorry! I tried. Just note that one of my 100 watt bulbs burnt out after just a few weeks in my Maxima... could have been cause the bulbs were somewhat old, but I dunno, had a problem with numerous bulbs burnin out on my Maxima, especially higher wattage bulbs

okay, i guess what i'm trying to ask is, how can i get the "brightness" of HID not the "temp color". I like how it just lights up the road with that bright white. I bought some Hilite SuperWhites XE 7000K.
they look nice ( better than silverstars ), and not ricey, but just don't light up the road like HID. Is HID systems my only hope?

I'm a newbie to lighting upgrades...So, be kind!
Do you have to upgrade anything except the bulb to go with the Xenons that you bought or HIDs? What's the cheapest way to upgrade without being ricey or having to replace all the hardware?

With the Xenons, just be careful not to get ones that are really really blue, they dont look anything like the HID's.
HID (High Intensity Discharge) is a completely different setup than regular headlights, and you can upgrade to them, but it costs some fairly big $$.
JCWhitney has some great Xenon bulbs that imitate the HID look (those are the ones in my pics above) and they dont look too blue, ricey, etc and you simply unplug the old bulbs and then plug in the new Xenon ones. Thats by far the easiest and cheapest way to go, altho it'll never look like a real HID setup
