Maxima 2.0 v6 ignition
Oh, neat, don't see many UK guys here... g'day mate!
The Maxima's VQ-series V6 uses a "distributorless ignition system", with 1 ignition coil for every single spark plug. You'll see the coils in the rear in between the runners of the intake manifold, and in the front they're underneath the ornament cover (at least in US-spec, you have to use a small allen wrench to remove 3 bolts holding the cover on).
Remove the coils first, then the spark plugs are underneath. Wipe down any carbon/dirt off the coils (if they have any), and apply a little silicone dielectric grease to the inside of the boot before reinstalling.

I'm in the UK and it is a 2.0Litre petrol, maybe just a european model. Just seems to be running abit rough at tick-over when warm. Just thought to check the spark plugs but couldn't find any!
