Got my Tokico ILLUMINAS!!!

Yay i finally got my struts in the mail yesterday. Hopefully i can get them installed sometime next week. I just have a few questions...

Im running these with Eibachs. I shouldnt need camber bolts or anything right? I have an eibach alignment kit i would like to install to get a little extra camber but i trired once before and it kept sliping out of place. Has anyone had good experiences with this kit? Any install tips, aside from using lots lock-tite? Also, any opinions on the $tealin camber plates? I would like camber plates but im not really down to spend $350, let alone buy something from $teallin. Nobody else sell the plates huh? Anyway, thanks in advance. I will post a review and probably some pics when i get these installed.

I don't think you need camber plates or bolts for the Eibach drop. People are running Teins without camber plates or bolts so you should be fine.

You'll be happy with them. I'm going to pick a set up in the next few weeks. No need for camber plates or bolts!

yeah i didnt think i would need a camber kit. I would still like to add some negative camber though. I'll probably try the bolts again so i can have an extra degree of negative camber. If anyone has plates i would like to hear any comments you might have. I dropped everything off at my installer just now so it should be done on monday or tuesday.

I have Eibachs w/ Tokiko Blues and Stillen Camber Plates and looking forward to getting the Illuminas onece it gets warmer (it was -4F when I went to start the car this morning). I personally think camber adjustability is very nice, going through a turn with -2 camber is much more fun than with -1 (which you get just having the eibachs).

As for the camber plates themselves I think they would only be useful if you go autocrossing and want to set very negative camber before you get on the track and set it back before you go home. The camber plates are very easy and convenient to use but they are expensive and also parts of them rust so unless you are going to make camber adjustments twice a day they are really not worth it.

For what you want I recommnd sticking with the camber bolts and getting them to work. I believe you can go up to -2.5 camber with them. The main thing to remember after setting high negative camber is to get an allignment because putting on more negative camber will increase your toe-in and that will wear out the outside of your tires (much more so that the slight extra wear you get on the inside due to negative camber which you can moderate by rotating your tires frequently).

nm,
Cool, thanks for the info on the camber plates. I dont think i will be buying those since i dont really need to change the camber around once its set and i dont care for the folks at $tealin. Thanks again for the review.
