Bose Headunit In Non-Bose Car?

I was curious to see if there is anything I need to do if i get a Bose headunit for my car to replace the base unit. Do I need adapters or anything? Will my speakers work with this HU and will the sound quality be ok. I am very pleased with the one I have now other than it isn't 6 disc. Any help would be appreciated.

I think that this is a tough one, many items are needed for the Bose system to work... You would be better to go aftermarket. Bose requires special amps for all the speakers.
