sway bars

I have a 2001 Maxima SE and i just found out that my front sway bars are loose and would require replacement ( they were making weird metal on metal noises on very low speed turns)...I've started to hear some similar noises from the back wheels too...So the question is...do we have rear sway bars too?

IIRC, yes. It's tucked inside the rear beam.

Yes, but the rear is welded in, no bushings or links to make noise. BTW, it must be the bushings or links that need replacing on the front swaybar, they're the only wear parts.

Just out of curiosity, on a related subject, is there a stiffer aftermarket front sway bar available to replace the OEM one?

Haven't heard of one, probably no one makes one because it would make the car handle worse unless you had a HUGE one to add to the rear and it looks to me like you'd about have to remove the engine to replace the front bar iself.
