How much drop with stock shocks??
Preferably I'd get a new shock/spring setup, but money might be too tight (come summer that is when I have any money at all)
So I'm wondering if I could do the usual 1-1.3 inch drop keeping the stock shocks. Would it harm anything? Would it be a crappy ride? Any advice would be good. I had a buddy who told me that anything over like an inch or so you should really get new shocks as well, but he was into the Mustang things, dunno how much of a difference that makes... Anyways, lemme know what you all know

I put Maxspeeds on at about 8000 miles. I now have about 16,000. Just a bit more than a one inch drop. The stock struts have held up well so far. I hope they will last another 6 months....I want to get Teins and Illuminas.

It really doesn't have as much has to do with the ride height but with the increased spring rates from aftermarket springs. The stock struts / shocks can not handle the extra workout over a long period of time. I've been running Teins and stock struts since June waiting on the Illuminas to be released. At 7,000 miles, the stockers are pretty much shot and need replaced. I'll replace them by the middle of next month with Illuminas or Tein SS coilovers.
