Should Tein owners even think about a body kit?

With the Teins putting Maximas pretty damn close to the ground, especially the front, should owners consider getting a body kit that includes the most visually stimulating aspect of such a mod: the lip/front bumper replacement? My car barely makes it over most ramps, /\ style entrances/exits from parking garages, etc. I imagine that with a front lip or bumper replacement, I will scrape everywhere and have a horrible time with keeping the lip from looking like crap.

Any opinions, or reassuring words?

i have teins and a body kit, and i have no problems, its really not that low. just have to be careful....then again, if you were to get a sarona kit youll be much closer to the ground and that could cause problems

rob - you don't scrape anywhere? Even on a slanted driveway or something of the sort?

All I do is think about a body kit. I've been waiting 5 months for the damn 2k2+ areo lip. I'd go lower if I good....infact you can never be to low. Just watch how you drive and its cool.

I can't lower or get a body kit because in my alley are some huge speed bumps.

I'd think twice about putting a kit on my car.

I have been lowered fo over 2 yrs. I drive very carefully everywhere. I scrape on very slanted hills, but most of the time i don't scrape if im very careful. You can never be to low...its just all about what you can deal with. The lowered look/with a body kit is the way to go!!!

if putting a bodykit on a daily driver (like I am) and dont want to scrape everywhere....opt for a more subtle drop....H techs or H&R's..

yeah, I only drive my car on weekends. When i drove it everyday during the summer, i had to be careful more often. The look is worth the extra awareness in my opinion....

Dude it's not a big deal. I am on coilovers with my wheels practically tucking now and have the stillen touring kit and I hardly ever have any problems and I drive to school and to work everyday of the week and live in louisiana. Hell my b pipe scrapes more than anything

San Francisco is different, lotsa bumps and hills, you would have to slow down on every ocassion to avoid scraping... LithiuMax knows

I'm riding on Tein with Stillen Front Fascia bodykit with CF splitters on the front of each corners. Recently I scrape so damn bad that my driverside CF splitter came off and on top of that it cracked my front bumper right under driverside headlight about like an 1"......I'm really ****ed off about that.......and I thought the Stillen kits don't crack.....

It all depends on how steep of a driveway you hit. Ive had Teins on my ride with the stillen bodykit for quite some time and ive had minimum issues.
Yeah you do need some common sense when parking but after parking over & over I can pull upto about 1" away from a curb
Ive had an issue with only REALLY steep driveways and that was a very light scrap. Other then that ive had one 350lb guy in my car, myself (250) another 280lb guy and two more at 150each (yeah we were rollin deep ) and I went through several driveways, speedbumps, ect... w/o any issues. No im not joking seriously nothing happend.

Just last week I pulled my front lip off to get it repainted but that wansnt even due to scrapes, that was my fault in a way. I was impatient and pulled the fog light out w/o removing the front lip

Then again, the roads in Phx arnt too bad.

heres an example..lol The other day, I had 4 people total in my car including myself. My rear fenders sit right on top of my tire and with my stereo install and 2 people in the rear, the wheels were tucking. I thought i could make it over this little speed bump at an angle, BUT! i scraped the hell out of my car..LOL! Underneath my greddy is scraped...it goes through so much..i feel for that exhaust...its so low to the ground
