Installing heating pads into nonheated leather seats.
Installing heating pads into nonheated leather seats.
Has anyone tried it? The temperatures here in NE are brutal and I'm seriously considering inserting the heating pads into the seats. I need feedback if anyone has done. If it's easy to take the leather off the seats I will do it. Any info is appreciated.
Let's just put it this way. The kits for actual aftermarket heated seats aren't really that expensive, like $150. It is the labor part that is tough. There is a company here that charged $500 for heated seats. I got leather and heated seats in my car for $899.
This is the link that Maxima-2 is referring to. None of this installation requires you to take off your original seat covers, or take apart your center console. The only things you have to take off are the 2 trim pieces on the drivers door sill, and a plug that holds on the carpet. This installation is on my 2003 Maxima SE. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/raa970...eats/index.htm
