STUPID PEOPLE (exaust prob)

ok here it goes. So i go to my friends so he can help me put my OBX catback and everything was goin fine till my friends dad tries helping us. We took it all off from the Y pipe back and the idiot cuts the wires for the 02 sensor. I dont know why he did it anyways. we tried soldering it but the wire is like weird so i take it to the muffler shop and they put like those telephoen clamps to connect the wires it didnt work. so then i used those female crimp plugs and that didnt work either check engine light is still on and yup its for the 02 sensor. Any Ideas?

Its like thick so the solder doesnt stick and its even hard to twist them i dont know how to explaint it. its not like your regular speaker, power, ground wire. Its also now like any wire i have seen. The solder wouldnt even stick to it

the wire probably is not copper. I is probably an alloy of some sort. This means that your regular soldering skills would not apply. Try using "flux" when you solder. you can get it at radio shack. also try taking some sand paper and ruffing up the wires. this will give the solder a little something extra to stick to.

Your o2 sensor should definitely have the wires with it.

You may just have to reset the SES light. The connection to the O2 sensor may be okay, but the ECU still has the code in memory.
