Spark Plug Change / Wear

Has anyone recently done a spark plug check/change in their 3.0 engine? I know that the plugs are supposed to be good for 100k, but with high RPM and long distance driving I am sure that the wear is above normal. (55K miles)

I have the service manual, so I am ready to go for it, and I am planning on the Bosch plus 4 plugs that are more like aviation spark plugs with the 4 electrodes.

IF the OEM ones are worn would that be contributing to a percieved rise in RPM at idle and during highway driving?

This weekend I think is going to be the weekend of car maint. with an oil change, brake pads, M/T flush, Coolant flush and plugs.

wheeeee
