Greddy drones, and I don't like that style either...especially on the Max.

Don't forget to look into Cattman, Blitz, Stillen, etc...

Check this thread to hear the Frankencar http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=2773630

, and then this link for one with a Greddy type:
http://www.waveperformance.com/mufflerclips/muffler.htm

Not sure if it's the same models you're looking at, but, the Frakencar sounds almost stock in the clip, and yeah, Greddy is pretty loud. Whichever suits your goals, it's your car.

cattman cattback is hardly noticeable @ idle, not that much louder over stock, i can hear my frankencar intake more than the exhaust, even at town speeds. doesn't drone, and you won't notice it until you punch it. can't say it sounds like the g35c, but i certainly like it.

another thing to note is that catback increase the noise with the addition of a y pipe. So those who find that theirs is not loud now, may feel differently afterwards

Personally, I like the sound of the Frankencar. Yes it is quiet but it's a little bit more noticeable lately. Also, it looks better. I like the dual tip exhaust, not that huge Coffee Can muffler.

And the last bonus, it's a lot cheaper.

Ok here goes my $.02. Why not get a Budget B-pipe to increase the noise and put some 3inch magnaflow tips on yer muffler and leave the rest stock. The stock exhaust already flows real good. You will spend 300 bux at the most and get the same performance gains.
