From those pics, I can't tell that either of those two cars are staggered.

Axis WSM2 only come in 19x8, so it's one of these three:
1.) Chris had Axis custom made his rear wider wheels
2.) Chris did not have a staggered setup
3.) Photochopped.

I say it's #2.

Looks completely stupid....just because something looks cool it isn't.....why am i going spend more money on putting wider wheels in the back than in the front......think about it....

with that you can't rotate your tires....
you're car is fwd not rwd
no added performance gains

Sorry but i think it's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard of doing to a fwd car.

nobody asked YOU to spend money to do it.... i asked for pictures to see if i wanted to do it...rotate tires? i probably won't do that anyway (buy better tires for the fronts.. and cheaper ones on back).... no added performance gains? since when do people buy rims for performance? except maybe those who buy lighter or smaller rims, who represent a small minority............
if it looks better i say why not consider doing it... and in my opinion it looks pretty good...

You're absolutely right no one asked ME to buy anything because I wouldn't invest money in something as ridiculous as that....I'm simply stating my opinion.....If doing that to your car makes you happy then by all means go ahead....but you might as well slap on a GT-R emblem while your at it.....

To each his own. His car is his car. It does look like it has a more aggressive stance. I kinda like it.

u dont have to undermine me with ur little GT-R comment... if i like wider rims, i'm gonna do it, regardless of what some random person on the maxima forums said....so instead of expressing ur opinions to someone who doesn't really care or even asked for them.. why dont u just keep them to urself? hm?

From his login, I had assumptions on what he drove. Go look at his profile and see what he drives...then you'll understand the "backwater" comments and attitude.

Its this kind of childish behavior that makes this place a pain sometimes. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But don't try to CRAM it down someone's throat. You have added nothing useful to his plight. But then again...what DO Acura drivers add other than pompous attitude?

We add nothing.....its simple...it's not a childish attitude....forums are to express thoughts and ideas. You're going to have to expect other people to express their opinions as well. I in no way disrespected him. I stated my opinion on what I thought about staggered rims on a fwd car (waste of money). He could have easily chose to ignore my post and move on.

Either way I'm not going to apologize my for opinion. And as i stated previously....I wish him luck and i'd like to see pics is he chooses to do it.

Please reference post #23 and #25. Not everyone mods for performance. Some mod for asthetics. That is what is going on in this situation and you are "implying" he is a ricer without have the guts to say it. Its all smoke and mirrors.

Just looks like your are out to start problems. You are new to this forum and going after people like you are a long board member....

And I never expected an apology.

You know....I seriously was going to leave this alone......but did i anywhere say that my car is better than yours?

So because your car can smoke my car all day long it devalues my opinion......

I post here on the maxima boards because I like the maxima and I have friends who own them.

Nevermind....last post.....enjoy your wheels....

Nah, like you said..Forums are to express ideas and thoughts. You made your point but kept coming back to it. That was the only "beef" I had. I hate seeing people "cram" their opinion down others throats. As for the "my car is better than yours part..." I call no mercy and a hands off approach. Not my angle.

I agree with you in theory, as I am a modder for performance and utilty as my mod budget is small and I have to make each penny scream. I wish I had more to make more apperance mods, but I am a poor man in a rich mans world/hobby.

Totally agree with you.....I'm more go than show......things are just so expensive when you get into our caliber of car.

I guess thats why I got upset what that mod idea because the money could be better spent elsewhere but thats just my opinion...what could be valuable to me could be crap to someone else......i just miss the days of old when mods were affordable and not so damn expensive.

Thanks for hearing me out on that.

I think that a wide wheelbase on a FWD not only looks unequivocally asinine, but also poserish to the max (har har). It speaks to me that the driver is trying to trick the less knowledgeable into thinking that he's got a RWD vehicle, while those in the know will look at him/her as as boy-racer ricer. Your money though. At least now you can fit in well with the Mexican posses in their 92 civics with a fat rear wheel-base.

BTW, you have to expect people to profess their opinions on things like this on a public forum

All of that is not neccessary. I think we need to just stick to simple constructive criticism and just simply tell him that you don't think it would be a good idea

An educated person would understand the fundamentals of sentence structure.

I didn't intend to imply that he could fit in with Mexicans as if all Mexicans have staggered rims on 92 civics, but rather he could nicely fit in with the group of Mexicans who do (or the white guys or whomever else!). I didn't say he could fit into the group of corporate execs with their staggered rims on Cadillacs because, hey, you don't see them.

Perhaps the original poster is benefitted by some alternate views on the matter, so that when he drives down the road and people shake their heads, he may have some insight as to why they are doing that.
