Just dropped my car.. Eibach Springs / KYB GR2

Wassup guys, I just did my suspension.. Eibach Springs with KYB GR-2s all around. I got to say, handling is really night and day difference. Although I do feel the stiffness a bit but not as bad as some of you guys in here made it out to be. I won't say the car rides like stock.. becuz it doesnt'. But in my opinion, I think the car rides ALOT better. The drop isn't all that low but its low enough to be noticed by other maxima owners. I would say for the New Yorker, this is perfect because you can even go to the city and not bottom out. I went to teh city and didn't bottom out like I thought i would. Although I did hit couple of nice size potholes.. but all went well.

A very satisfied Eibach member here

Here are some of the pictures I took.. I will take better ones as soon as the weather gets warmed up. I got frost bites while taking these pics.

I believe it's 1.4 front and 1.2 rear? i'm not too sure. I have before and after pictures in my webpage.. you can tell by comparing the pics hopefully. The drop is not that low.. but its low enough tho.

Gotta loves Teins though.

BTW, what a better combo, yours or 2k2whitemaxi with eibachs and tockicos. I want H&Rs though with Tockicos...best ride I heard!

I would say 2k2whitemaxi's combo with eibachs and tokico adjustables are better then my combo because you can adjust them. I originally wanted to go with Tokico Illuminas but didn't wanna spend so much money at the moment. So I decided to go with this setup.

BTW - Thanks twotone(Chris) and Not2shbby(Heath) for helping me out with my suspension help. My true motivators

Wow, excellent looking drop! Just low enough - I actually prefer this look to other drops like the tiens - and you have superior handling. Good call.

Forgot to ask - Any problem on bottoming out on those rough NYC roads?

I love the ride of my 2001 SE with H&Rs with Illuminas. However, I wish the front of my car was just a little lower. It still looks like the front is higher than the rear. I've been thinking of cutting a half a coil off the fronts to level it up. Anyone done this?

Thanks Twotone. After your post earlier I tried to find Igor911 to send him a PM and couldn't find him in the registry. This gives me a pretty good idea of where I need to go without a lot of trial and error. I have previously cut some Guildstrand springs on a 87 Grand National and it took me 4 times of cutting a quarter of a coil each time to get it right. I think as long as you use a cut off wheel and stay away from the blow torch, the springs won't be damaged. I may do this soon as I can't stand the front being higher than the rear.
