you would need the SSR turbo kit that is coming out and maybe some nitrous oxide. it wouldnt hurt to have forged pistons and crank shaft. Also you would need a 3" exhaust. A manual transmission would be a must. The automagic just isnt strong enough.

A sling-shot setup like jets use to take off from aircraft carriers or a thousand pound rocket strapped on the roof would be a good start. They've got a lot more power, and a superior platform for 1/4s, so it's going to take quite a bit of work and money.

We already have a forged crank...
And what's this nonsense about "must have a manual tranny" ? You can order a purpose built auto that will decimate most manuals in a 1/4 drag race for any 95-up Maxima. Sure, it'll cost you almost $4000, but it will have LSD and be built for 400 + WHP.
The 3" exhaust will definitely be useful, as would new forged 8.1:1 compression pistons and forged super strength connecting rods (from Pauter Machine). Pistons will run you $1300-$1400, connecting rods another $900-$1200. That's most likely over $6K before you even have a turbo picked out...

I had a LS1 Z28 and honestly, intake ($150), long tubes ($500-700), cutout ($50), cam ($500) and that sumb i t c h will run LOW 12's(auto or manual, actually the auto would probably be faster)...add nittos, goodnight...
Then you could buy a cheap nitrous kit, get a 12 bolt, run in the deep 11's for around a total of $4000. Not bad for a car that you could probably pick up for around $12k right now.

Here all you need is a 75 wet shot. Dont believe the BS floating around. I raced a 3.5 w/75 wet shot and he put about 8 car lengths on me when I was SCed. Dude left me sitting still. This guy was going around beating on supras, Z06's and LS1s. Nismo2020 knows who I am talking about. He goes by the name of spraying70.

sorry, but its gonna take a LOT more to beat an ls1 with a 75 shot only on the maxima. auto or stick.
my ls1 only has lid/filter, headers and cutouts.i trap 110... this is AFTER driving 120 miles to the track, no cool down time, and a LOUSY tune. ran a 12.7 with a 2.23 60 ft time so yeah i dont think you will be beating ANY ls1's unless they are missing 2 cyilnders.
as for the statement that this guy goes around whipping Z06's with only a 75 shot? thats complete and utter HORSE CRAP. z06's weigh 3100lbs, have 360RWHP, and have AWSOME gearing. you arent going to beat ANY z06 with your 255 hp+75 shot at the CRANK. thats 330 CRANK hp. you MIGHT keep up with a STOCK auto f body from a roll on.
and since you claim its bs thats floating around, bring out a stock maxima with a 75 wet shot and ill ***** slap him into next week with my little ol LS1.

Come on now - i have HUGE doubts that a 3.5 with ONLY a 75 wet shot is going to beat an LS1 - let alone a 405 HP z06 - down here at my school one of the guys we went tto the track with pulled a 12.0 BONE STOCK with no drag radials in a Z06 and a stock ls1 is running around 13.2's a 3.5l on a good day will hit 14.5 - with a 75 shot maybe high 13's ? sooooo maybe something was wrong with your car - and those supra's and ls1's probably didnt even know they were racing lol

You live in Atl dont sit behind the computer and say its not impossible. I know what I saw, I just cant take the mans **** apart to see if in fact hes spraying a 70shot. I know hes fast, and alot of people dont like him cause his **** is very fast.

I knew it, his numbers were in the high 300s just like you just posted. So I am right all you need is a 70 shot. I am trying to tell them is not impossible. Obviously he must not be boosted to know. Sitting behind the desk does you know good! Guess some of these 3.5 ltr owners dont know their **** nor the potential of that motor.

Not quite true, I run a 13.1 with just a 35 shot on a 3l, so when I do up a 3.5l this spring we will see what it will do.
im sorry, but your stock maxima(if indeed you mean stock) with a 35 shot will not run a 13.1 much less ANYWHERE in the 13's. and you dont drop over 2 full seconds with a 75 shot. get a clue.

he was most definately lying to you then. first off, the guy you raced... something is wrong with his car. i also recall a video of where a nearly stock LT1 hung within a few cars of you. how quickly we forget. bottom line is that sc ls1 is a HORRIBLE example of an ls1. my bolt on only car(5 total mods) will outrun his car. bad compression in one cyilnder

Sure you dont have to believe us but we have a NA 3.0 ltr maxima with bolts ons running 13.6's.

He can still outrun me if I dont shift right very fast. Ill let him know that a LS1 owner w/ bolt ons said that he has bad compression in 4 cylinders. I tell you what let me get a hold of my lS1 buddies and we all can get together and get it on. You can race his slow azzz SCed Z28. We all can have some good fun. Ill even bring a old truck dodge dakota. The truck owner wont pop his hood though, I dont know why
I also bring slammed97SE in his lightning. Well have a good night out 
I did have bad compression in number two cylinder. I just pulled my motor and installed a different one.
I don't know if anyone makes it, but if your going to drop a SC and nitro, might as well get a racing engine (depending on the boost and shot of both factors). Some company makes them for the 3.0 costing around 3k.

Guys it is hards to believe a slightly modified max is hanging with a 5.7 liter car. Not only do they have more hp and torque but the curves are very flat compared to a max. Now any car can be made to be fast. i saw an old Datsun 4 cyl running 8 sec 1/4 miles on tv - so anything is possible..
