Apex Filter covered in snow! Need Help!

I went to fillup my windshield washer fluid, and to my amasement, both sides of the engine bay were covered in snow, including my battery and most important, my APEX AIR FILTER. Not real bad, but the part sticking over the battery. I took it off, checked inside the plenum, and no visible dampness, and inside the filter look clean and dry. The cold air wouldnt let it melt. I blew of the snow and brought the filter inside so I can examine it. Now, I need to know how well the apexi filter can handle the elements? Should I get a new filter?

My other question is this, why the heck did all that snow get in? I told the freakin dealer my hood was moving up and down, and no, NOW I HAVE WORRY ABOUT THIS!

Greek... malaka... get the Firm Fabrications Midpipe & you won't have to worry about snow 'n crap. Plus Maxine performs like a CHAMP with the Firm. I'm not sure if they're still in business though...

these are probably going to be the best prices that you can find for either the K&N or Apexi. Already received mine and I cant wait to install it.

Pousti... I thought you had the Injen, re.

How the hell did you get snow up there?...

I guess you can use one of these heat shields...

http://search.ebay.com/ws/search/Sal...=filter+shield

Look through all of them... you'll find the half-shield for $11
