**The most popular aftermarket strut poll**

Curious to see what the most popular combination is on the forum. I tried to hit all the popular choices.

EDIT>>>I posted a separate poll for springs. Throw a vote there too while you're at it!

With flathead screwdriver. There is an adjustment dial at the top of the strut rod.

Most people have the KYB GR2. I'm planning on dropping my Max with Eibachs and Illuminas. After I saw 2k2whitemaxi's dropped max with them i really liked them.

BTW, how do you adjust the Illuminas?

If I could do it again....

Illuminas & Progress currently.

If I could do it again - I'd go with TEINs and Illuminas.
The drop is SIMPLY PERFECT!

The illuminas are totally AWESOME! The only real complaint I have with the progress springs is that they are not even front to back....just a tad higher in the front.

NOt sure how the handling compares with other springs.

I'm on 4fr/5r now, and damn it handles NICE!

Paid about $600 for the pkg, not including install.

Wait, you'd swap to Tein because the Progress isn't even enough? That's strange - according to many Tein mesurements I've seen they're not even either (.5" lower in the front.) On Progress I'm 1/4" higher up front. Hardly visible IMHO. Also, the closest to even drop I've seen.

Ok, you're Right -- but to me, it's still visible, and I'd PREFER to have it lower in the front if I had my choice.

Can't remember if you're on stock struts or not -- curious to hear YOUR impressions if you're on the Illuminas?!

I'm riding on Progress Springs with Illuminas. I got a very important question and I'm wondering if other owners on Illuminas have experienced my same *MAJOR* problem. I hear this clunking when I go over certain potholes or even small dips. The sound is really damn loud. My friend was driving next to me and he heard it with his windows up and told me your car sounds like its fk*ed up.

So I took it into Nissan under warranty and they said that the Struts aren't blown, but that they maybe lost performance? The guy said it was quite typical to have aftermarket struts lose performance and make clunking noises. My question is do you guys think hes right or are they blown? I freaking got these POS illuminas like half a year ago and the back ones are already fried? Can you guys give me some ideas what you guys think is wrong with my struts? or anything you can think of? Do you guys agree with the service center guys assessment?

Damn long post I know and im whoring my bad. Hopefully some of you can help me out?

I don't know about your situation, but I had a similar one a few months back. Leaving the grocery store one night I hit a huge pothole at a pretty fast speed and the sound it made was horrible. (I have sprint springs and tokico blues, btw) From then on, my car made a clunking noise sometimes and it got worse with time. I was ****ed b/c I thought that I had blown the strut. For a long time, I was frustrated and ****ed. Long story short, it ended up being a an exhaust piece rattling against something.
Anyway, my point is that tokico makes a damn good strut and I really doubt that yours are blown. Especially on progress springs. The sprint springs that I have dropped me about 2 inches all the way around, putting alot of stress on the struts. I've had the tok blues now for about a year and I drive very hard and they respond as well as the day that I put them on. I would look very hard at some other things before I'd spend the money to replace the struts.
