00 Headlight Bulb Replacement

ok i know this a such a uber noob question, however i am a uber noob when it comes to cars. =T and also i cant search the forum for previous post and yahoo searches give me nothing. So i guess i have decided to ask all of you how to replace the bulbs in my headlights?! I popped the hood for my 00 max and looked at the headlight trying to see if i could some how remove the socket from the headlight, unfortunately it would not budge. So after trying and toying with it for a half an hour, i decided to give up and ask all you wonderful people how i would go changing my damn bulbs. Thank you and sorry for being such a noob.

Squeeze both sides of the H4 connector and pull, it should slide right off the bulb.

How do you put in the bulb without touching the glass? Do you wear gloves or something? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but having trouble visualizing. I am also having trouble getting my bulbs out - must be kinda stuck.

ok well i just failed miserabley. I read my manual about how to replace the damn bulbs and it said turn counter-clockwise until it is free from the socket. so i turn and Crack my old bulb broke in 2. so i took off the connector part that is still connected to the fuse and the initial bulb is still in my damn headlight. THE MANUAL LIED TO ME! *sigh* well now i have 0 headlights working and i have to drive at night after work. How am i supposed to get the old bulb out and replace the new ones?! oh and i did try to squeeze and pull. didnt come off.

on your way home from work, stop into Advance Autoparts or Autozone or Pepboys and buy Silverstar H4 equivalent bulbs and have them replace it for you. They were more than happy to do it for me.
