My 03 auto "idles" at 700-725 in drive and 800 or so in park, 550-600 is way to low and you probably are getting alot of vibration in the steering wheel.

I have the same thing, seems like idle is low while in gear, something like 600 to 650 or so. And I DO have vibes in the steering wheel. What causes the steering wheel to vibrate at low idle?? I also have flickering gauge lights, headlights, etc when the idle is low like this. What could be causing a low idle?

LIGHTS FLICKERING? Maybe it's an electrical problem?

I'm kind of figuring that, but I'm still wondering why a low idle would cause vibrations in the steering wheel? And could an electrical prob cause a low idle? And if so, why?
