trouble with FSTB

i bought a generic FSTB from 2kseman recently (great shipping and communication btw) and i just received it and began the install. i quickly ran head first into a wall (figuratively speaking). my left strut tower mounts (3 nuts) came off without a problem, but the right strut tower ones are impossible to get off. i tried a long armed ratchet, vice grips (small and big), normal wrench w/ a mallet, and even a small butane torch to heat the steel and expand it. looks like theres loctite on it, but the left tower nuts came off with no trouble.
is there any loctite remover available anywhere or any way at all to get these g*dd@mn nuts off? i stopped now cause if try any more they'll get stripped beyond belief.

Did you use a 6 point socket? If you have a 6 point socket and use a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar, you should be able to remove the nuts with no problems. Using vise grips will most likely round off the nuts.

i didn't have that socket wrench, but my friend tried his on it and actually BROKE THE WRENCH on the freekin nut. it was uncanny. i went and picked up some stuff that loosens rusted bolts, maybe it'll help. i'll try again when it gets warmer...big snow storm tonight.

You really need to try it with a breaker bar and 6 point socket. If you don't have the right tools to complete the job, (socket, torque wrench) you should let someone else do it for you.

Something must be wrong. Those nuts only use about 32 foot pounds of torque. They should come off easy on both sides. They do not have any loc-tite on them from the factory, and even with loc-tite, no way you'd break a wrench.

You can try buying some anit-sieze at an auto shop, but, seems like you're gonna need a shop and some air tools. Sorry bro, this shoulda been cake.

try a 6 point socket and a breaker bar 1/2" drive like charlie mentioned above. if your still having trouble, find someone with an air compressor
