it pretty much removes a sensor that controls the pressure line for the tranny. when your at wot, the line is at full pressure, so quick powerful shifts are needed. when you're not in wot, obviously you dont need it.
when you remove it, you maximize the lines pressure causing the tranny to shift gears vigorously. please think its "cool" and "faster", but they are seriously screwing up their trannys. the ear forces itself in and sometimes they experience a loud bang and feel it too...
i dont recommend it at all

If your getting a lip dont lower your car, my car bottoms out everywhere although its hot riding low, better turns and road hugging is the immediate response! and it rides liek **** over bumps, i have the tokico struts for my car and its like off road!

Killer you are close but not quite right.

The resistor does control the line pressure for the trans. However when you are at WOT the trans is NOT at full line pressure, it is never at full line pressure it is always at some fraction of it. Full line pressure is just the maximum the pump produces.

This mod should only be used with a WOT switch or manual switch when you are at WOT only. It is NOT to be used at part throttle.

It will not screw up your transmission if it is working properly in the first place and you use as I indicated above. (get at trans cooler also)

I have used this mod on two Maximas now for 2 racing seasons and it works flawlessly. It will actually save wear on your transmission because it makes the transmission shift faster at WOT thereby reducing wear on the clutches.

People who have screwed their transmissions using this mod, either use it at part throttle or already had problems with their transmissions. Also some people can screw up their transmission N/A and I have used this mod to make several 12 sec runs which is considerably harder on the powertrain.

However any mod you do to your car to make it faster/quicker could and can reduce the life of your car so if it breaks don't blame me. This is just my experience. However that is probably better than listening to someone who has never tried it but is an expert.

Hey jim, ya thats what I meant, it can screw up your tranny under partial throttle. Thats what a lot of people were doing and crying that it slammed into gear and "is it bad"...

I saw a while back a thread about installing a device to make the tranny go into full pressure when you WOT. What do I need to buy to make this happen?
