Engine bay filling up with snow, anyone else?

Nissan told me that is normal, and tried to pass the buck onto me bacuase my airbox is removed. I replied, what about the other side, and they said it was normal. I have asked others, and nobody else has the same issue, even with airbox removed.

No problems on my 01 here. We had a good blowing snow for the last couple days...and since I did my AF change I check under the hood after each drive...no snow ever detected.

I changed my coolant so the last 4 days I have been checking for leaks, overflow and making sure it does not need topping off. So bascially I have been under my hood once a day for 4 days...

Is the plastic shield still in place on the bottom driver’s side of the car?

If you look straight down where your stock air box was there should be a plastic shield at the bottom you should be able to see the ground except through I think one small hole. I can take pics if need be as I am sure I am not explaining this properly.

I had my car in for service one time and the removed the shield but never put it back on. Was around fall and I was concerned with the amount of leaves that were hibernating in my engine bay. Make sure yours is there.

May not be the issue but worth mentioning.

No problems here! Of course, we've not had any snow this year

I dont think it is that. The snow Im refering to is coming strait through the hood, underneathe the seal. I can trace the snow tracks from there directly to my battery, then filter. I may just put a cloth on top of the battery and around the filter, that should do teh trick.

I had a similar problem with dirt going in the engine bay when I removed the stock air box and the ram air scoop. That created an opening where the ram air scoop use to be so I just installed a closed cell foam (about the length of the air scoop's width) on both the hood part and the bottom part and that seemed to fix it.
