Screeching sound when braking, advice?

Hi All,

My car started making a screeching sound when braking, even at low speeds around 20-30mph, possibly from the right side. My brakes are still at 50%. And I had it before like 3-4 month ago, but then it stopped and here it is again. Also, I can hear a sound like a pieces of metal clunking from the engine bay when I go over bumps. Very weird.

Any ideas?

Also, my steering wheel shakes when I brake (even slowly) at speeds >60mph.

My car has 44k miles.

Thanks in advance.

The steering shaking sounds like a warped rotor.

The screching could be the tab that squeels when they are worn down. Maybe your's is bent to the wrong position? Or the sheet metal that covers the back side of the disk is bent and brushing the rotor?

You'd have to pull the wheel off and have a look.
