Replacing driver side mirror
I need to replace the driver side mirror on my 2001 Maxima. It looks like it was damaged by a hit/vandalize-and-run. Does anyone have the instructions for doing this?

If you need to replace the entire assembly. Here goes.
Take the small black triangle plastic off from inside the door. There will be 3 10mm bolts you need to remove if Im correct or were there two? I dont remember now but remove those bolts and then just tap the top of the mirror from the outside and it will pop off the door. Then unplug the harness and replace.

A bird knocked the passenger mirror off my wife's 2001 Maxima. How is the triangle plastic cover mounted? Is it just clips that will let me pop off the cover? I don't want to force it and break it. Her car only has 38K and is in pristine condition and want to keep it that way. Thanks.
