2004 se rims on 02 se
Please Answer This Question
Hey guys, I know this is supposed to go in tires etc section.. but not a damn person is answering my question and it's been like 3 days..
anyway, I really like the new 04 se rims and I want to get them for my 02 se max. I know they're heavy etc..but I really don't care, looks are more important to me. Also, the last rims I had got stolen at 3am in front of my house and I don't want that to happen again, and since they're not that flashy I don't have to worry about it. Anyway, here's the question.
The rim is 18x7.5 with a 40mm offset. Shoud I get 245x40x18 or 235x40x18?
I really want the 245's but will I have to worry about them rubbing if I drop the car with EIBACH's? Also, I know the rims comes stock with 245x45x18, is it ok to put a 245.40.18 on it? I would think so.
Thanks

There was a thread a couple of weeks ago on the tire and wheel section with pictures of a car with these on it. Someone on here has some on his with lowered suspension and is having some rubbing problems with the stock 04 tire size.
The 245's rub. There is another recent thread posted by someone running 245's with rubbing issues in the rear. However, running 235's still doesn't guarantee rubbing won't be an issue if you're dropped.
