there was no damage to the body of the car anywhere... while the police report was being done i scoured the thing... better than HID theft, i suppose...

in this pic you can see the rock... err.. boulder that was used...

So did they actually hold the rock while they slammed it on the windshield... Because the i cant see how the rock would hit the windshield then bounce off and not touch the car at all and land on the floor....

it should be... i'm close friends with the owner of the building (different than the mgmt people) so hopefully i have leverage... the lot is only semi secure... alas if people want to get in... they can... i am going to try to see if i can't get things changed using this as an example... if not... i'll be paying to park in a parking deck down the road!

That really sucks! I don't think the management will cover it though...they aren't responsible for damage to your car, or possessions, etc...

insurance will cover it, and it only takes like 45 min to fix this. I got my winsheild replaced for free by my insurance company in iike 1 hour. They come to your house if you want to but i got it done at the dealer. No problems what so ever with the new winshield

they could have thrown the rock at the windshield, and it could've bounced off without hitting the car...

That sucks and good luck getting everything fixed up!! One comment though Belmont - when posting pics, post them SMALLER - those giant pics take up alot of space on the server! I did the same thing on my FIRST post on the .org and everyone "yelled" at me!

looking at where the rock hit (dead center) there is no way it could of bounced off without hitting anything... all the paint on the hood and pillars is perfect still... i don't think it could possibly "bounce" off and end up where it was next to the car
