INSTALLED Umnitza DDE's thread..
Figured since the other "Umnitza DDE Lightning" thread was long as hell and was started for production of the DDE's, I'll start one for installed DDE's..
Well I finally got mine finished after a long 4 1/2 hours..the worst part to me was getting the damn headlights out in freakin 20 degree weather while it was snowing..puttin the headlights in the oven had me on the edge checkin them every other second...but I had to put them in twice to finally soften up the seal..all the wiring was straight forward from the instructions as well (what ever happened to the dimmer switch?) everything needed was supplied I bought "GOOP Marine silicone glue" which was used to secure the DDE's to the headlight housings and seal up the headlights again..while I had the headlights apart, figured I would clear out my lights..all I did was take the orange reflector out and replace the bulb w/ an orange one...all and all the DDE's look bada$$ just like I expected..
just one problem though...I had them "on" with just the parking lights on the way home (about 20 min) as soon as I got home I turned on the headlights as well and checked to see what that looked like, being the first time I did it was daytime and it wasnt dark enough..well I noticed on the pass. side the large ring is on but is real dim "purplish color" and the small one is fine..and on the drivers side the small ring is real dim as well and the large ring is fine...I know it takes a couple of minutes till they fully light up, but why is this happening?
**Pictures were taken and will be posted as soon as I find the damn USB cable that connects my camera and computer..

We ordered 4500K rings and 6500K rings.
6500K is what everyone should receive. However, there is an off chance that 1 or even 2 of your rings will be a different color than the others.
PLEASE BE SURE TO PRE-TEST YOUR RINGS AS DESCRIBED IN STEP 4.0. IF YOU DETECT ANY DIFFERENCE IN COLOR, PLEASE NOTIFY US RIGHT AWAY!!!
FOR THOSE OF YOU NOT HAVING RECEIVED YOUR KITS, MY TEAM DIDN'T INFORM ME OF THIS TIL RECENTLY BUT IT'S GREAT NEWS BECAUSE WE'RE GOING TO PRE-TEST YOUR PRODUCT FOR YOU.

Wow I cant wait to get mine. I've got the 2k2/3 headlights sittin in my room now and just ordered a set of the DDE's the other night. And today I went to home depot and got those lights so I can cut em up to replace the orange lens. I don't have the ***** to crack open my headlights tho.......I bought em brand new from nissan and Im gonna kill myself if I melt or break one lol. I wanna paint the housings black to match my car too. Man I hope I can build up the courage to do this.....I really dont wanna pay someone to do it for me.

just the thought of "baking my lights and opening" them up scared me half to death and gave me second thoughts..but as I was doing them, it seemed like a cutting a freshly baked chocolate cake...its fairly easy and of course should be done with extra precaution..
Igor911 those are some great pics..I shouldnt even post my pics cause yours are just the same...but still it wont stop me from posting them up ...well I drove around for 20-30 min tonight..the large passenger side finally came up to "fullness", but the small drivers side still stayed dim?? it is still cold as ice outside..hopefully tomorrow will bring better luck..

oh and did anyone else put the silicone glue or adhesive anywhere else beside the 2 mounting points..I put a small dab just on the bottom center of the circle just so the light wouldnt vibrate or bounce around while the car was in motion..just a tip for all of you that havent done it yet..

Do you have 2k lights now?

If there's someone to thank for the initial idea on 2k2s, it'd be Polo who got the ball rolling for angel eyes so many months ago.
Btw. these look great, already ordered them, but like someone said earlier, these pics look like the light is really colorless/white, while Litui's pics make it seem like the color is a little greenish. Which is it in real life?

a small history lesson. they stole 1 headlight from me. insurance claim gave me 2 back. i had 1 extra. did the "blacking out" of the headlight, although someone beat me to it. the real work began when i saw the angel eyes and then started my LONG LONG relationship with umnitza. at the end, i ended up sending him my headlight free of charge, nothing in return, simply to make the angel eyes for production for us. i had 2 main threads in the 5th gen/group deal forum on this for months. these were the original gen v angel eyes. why do i own neither gen v or the new dde's. a person which shall be unmentioned jumped in when the rings were molded, met up with umnitza (i must admit, he was closer, but still, give me credit) had them put on his car, put them on, and took all the credit for it. suddenly i got no emails, no responses. i give my headlight to the guy for FREEEEEEEEE to have this done to me. never got the gen v angel eyes, even though i was told i'd get one for free. don't plan on gettin the dde's either. not worth my trouble. i already have strobes in my headlights. that's good enough for me.
i'm done ranting and raving....
EDIT: Thanks nissan5788
