I have a question regarding these DDE lights I've been seeing some of you adding. I know I've seen them on some BMW's too. For an old guy, that's not up on a lot of this stuff....just wondering what the advantages of having these? Are the merely cosmetic? Do they improve the lighting?

 

They are 99.9% cosmetic, head turning, things of beauty. The 0.01% is there in case they put any trace amounts of light on the ground.

Thanks for the feedback. They do look cool....but for ME anyway....can't see spending the money for something that is not a functional improvement.

 

It just makes ppl give u attn when u drive...atleast I get it all time time like crazy

DDEs serve many guttural, emotional, and visual purposes:

1) distinction for your car
2) force people to move over in the left lane when you come up on them
3) make others SEE you coming
