Is it possible to remove both cats and still pass emissions? I read about someone having problems with inspection but I want to know if ill have problems with emissions specifically NY

Yes, 4th gen y pipe remove both precats. All you have to do is warm up the car.

But DON'T take your car to a Nissan dealership for the inspection. If they do a visual, you WILL fail the smog check.
