mdeal & Jeff92se....
On the modified ECU that I have in the car.
It's a temporary thing because it's actually a hookup done by a friend, of a friend, who is the head nissan mechanic at the dealer where my car is service.
I asked him if he would like for me to mention his name for referrals, but he declined quickly. Reason being, the program in the ECU is considered a "beta test" and not availiable. He says it's just a "hookup".
I'm the beta test ginny-pig!!
He did it just to see how the car would do with simple tweaking. Don't ask me what's done because I don't know anything about the programming (I'm a Driver) but the main differences I see in the car is that it's more stronger accelerating even as an auto, much louder at idling and it burns more ga$$ and blows more smoke out of the muffler. (Sorry to Disapoint You!!)
I have drag raced from the red light 2 Lexus -IS300's that weigh less, beating one by 1/2 car length and going dead even (Door handle to door handle) with another one at full throttle with no let-up. So I would say that's good for an automatic (maybe in the 7.2 to 7.6 range for 0-60, I'm guessing). You guys could prolly do much better with the modded 5-speeds in the mid 6's from 0-60.
It's only temporary because I don't have any significant mods yet to take full advantage of the benefits that more tweaking can do. My original ECU is in a safe place for re-installation in a few weeks!!
He mentioned a guy name "STEP" that works with JWT in Cali as his longtime source so I guess that's where he got it. Anyway that's it!! - seeya-
