When I start my car the AT sign comes on for a breif second and then comes off, but sometimes it will flash on and off a couple times. It never just stays on. So what dose the AT stand for and why would it be flashing?

 

It's in your owner's manual. If it blinks, there is a problem with your auto transmission.
