belt noise

Recently my max has some squeak noise from belt region, especially in the cold weather. I suspect that the belts may be loose or wear. Could anyone tell me how to tighten or replace the belts? Besides, will the belt dressing help? I saw some opinions against using belt dressing in other forums. Is the belt dressing really that bad?

My belt started squeeking after I put in my UDP. The belt tensioners are relatively easy to get at...just look for them...you need a socket and an extension, and there should be two. I ended up having to go to the dealer to get it fixed, since I busted one of the bolts on the UDP install...the dealer charged me like $50 and it's been fine since. If your car is under the 36k warranty, just take it in and get it done for free.

The belt spray junk didn't help me...it helped for a little while, but didn't fix it
