Ignition Coil vs. O2 Sensor

My 2000 GLE has experienced a lot of the problems mentioned in the ignition coil problem forums. Stuttering/missing for a few minutes upon startup, SES light on and off, etc.
The two times I've taken it to Autozone and the dealer, they said the code shows that the O2 sensor is malfunctioning.

Could this be a problem resulting from bad ignition coils? Do I have 2 unrelated problems or have I swapped out 2 perfectly good O2 sensors?

Thanks for the help

Change out the coils immediately.

Did you get your ECU updated (reflashed) by the dealer?

What do you mean "flashed"?

Why do the ECU's need upgraded? What will the dealer charge for that?

Thanks again,
