So Im driving on 355 sount the other day and a little rock hits my window. The damage was minimal so I figured that I will buy the window repair kit. I followed the instructions left it on there for about an hour and when I came back the crack has spread about 10 inches across my window. I am so Pi$$ed now.

Does anybody know a good body shop in Chicago that will fix my window for a reasonable price? Any help is appreciated.

 

Call your insurance company and ask them about their windshield replacement policy. Some will replace it with no deductable and nearly all have a reduced deductable.

 

Had the same problem. First and most importent DO NOT go to the dealer. They said that it will be 1000+ to put a new windshield on my max. The price is 200-300$. Just open the yellowpages.com and search. There are many companies in illinois that do that kind of job. Just call around, and you will get the right price. Now as had been said earlier, you should call your insurance and check if they will cover it. Some policies cover windshields for free.
