Interior problem:

Question:

Question about interior problem:

I have a 2003 Max with leather seats that match the outside paint..sort of a silver gray color. The floor matt, on the passenger side, started looking like some sort of emerald green spots were beginning to show and I noticed one small spot on the passenger front seat also. This was several months ago. I thought someone spilled something. Now there are more spots on this same seat and more discoloration in the floor matt. I dont use anything but a wet rag and vacuum to clean the inside. Has anyone a clue to this problem? I haven't brought it up to the dealer's attention yet.

did you buy the car used? if you did, they could have dyed the seats and mats to cover up a spill and with you cleaning it, you are removing the dye.

Thanks, No it's not mold I'm sure of that. But I will try some cleaner and maybe replace the matt. looks like the problem is just with my car.

Thanks, now we are getting to what could be the source of the problem. Will bring it up to the dealer next visit in 3 months.
