I'm new here with a couple of questions

I've been lurking for quite some time but finally got my account activated so I can post. I've got a 2000 Maxima SE, 5spd, leather, bose stereo, and power everything. I really love this car and I am just now starting to mod it. I just recently bought an intake and got it installed last night. It sounds great and looks good. I've had some Progress springs for a while but haven't installed them yet. Now I'm going to start doing some other modifications and I had some questions.

Are the high flow cats that you see on Ebay for like $30 and $40 worth anything? I'm also looking to get some exhaust but haven't made up my mind on what I'm gonig to get. I like the Cattman but it's a little over my budget right now. If anyone's got any input I'd be happy to hear it.

Thanks

Do the exhaust modifications only because you want to. The catback or highflow cat isnt going to give you much power as an NA car. Tops 2-3whp. If you want power, then do either cattman's header setup or a ypipe.

You should get a Y-Pipe instead. Much more hp gain than exhaust

Thanks for the replies. So you thin a Y-pipe should be my next mod? How about a Y-pipe and exhaust?

I went to a page about a month or so ago that had all kinds of exhaust clips, does anyone have that link or a similar one?

Isnt the ypipe only intended for racing apps. I read this - "The Cattman Y-pipe for the 1995 and later Nissan Maxima and Infiniti I30 is designed for use in racing applications only and is not intended for use on public streets or highways. However, in the course of off-road use, customers can be assured that the primary catalytic converter functions normally and, once it reaches operating temperature, should not generate emission levels that exceed public standards in most jurisdictions due to use of the Cattman Y-pipe."
