safer side marker install

Not sure if i am the first one but:
I found a much safer(on the paint) way to install your side markers.
On the front if you take the 2 screws out of the under molding, like you were going to change a fog light, then just reach up and push out the front of the lense and that is it. The rear isn't quite as easy. Just pull the trunk liner aside and then there is a rubber water sealant plug that you just pull out, then if you use a flash light and a long flat head or other such pushing device. You can locate the the housing then use the pushing device or screwdriver to push it out.
Thats it

I think using a small screwdriver with a towel wrapped around it is easier. Took me all of 10min to change all 4 corners. The way you suggest sounds like it will take atleast 30min to take out all four.

I do this for my fronts. the extra 10 minutes it takes is worth the 1 time "OH ****!!!!"

Backs are sloppy enough I dont have issues with screwdriver and towel. Fronts are wedged in super tight on mine.

Someone actually beat you to the punch on this, but this is great advice! It takes a few extra minutes but it sure beats chipping the lens or scarring your paint.

Thanks for the geat idea. I think it is worth it because i still chip my paint even if I do use a cloth with the screw driver. Well worth it.
